Gerard Depardieu, a French actor who is most famous for his works in Jean Florette and Green Card, was recently arrested in Paris for a DUI when he fell off of his scooter. Depardieu was slightly injured and nobody else was involved in the accident.
This isn’t Depardieu’s first alcohol related run in with the law. Last year he was kicked off of a flight for urinating in the isle just before take off. He has also had a DUI for driving a motorcycle when his blood alcohol content was five times the legal limit.
Perhaps Depardieu wasn’t able to get another ride home. It wouldn’t be surprising considering in August his driver filed a legal complaint against him for battery and assault. It looks like Depardieu can’t seem to get out of his party years, although he’s 63 years old.
Depardieu was questioned by the Paris police and was later sent home. He will have to appear in court. Remember, you don’t have to be driving a car to get a DUI. It’s a common misconception that you can only get a DUI while driving a car, when in fact you can get one by driving any motorized vehicle.
